Who We Are

J & R Waste Management was established in 2010 by father & son team Robert & James. We pride ourselves on providing a fast, efficient & reliable service to both individuals & contractors. As a young man, Robert started his working life with a horse and cart, collecting scrap metal - the original rag 'n' bone man. From his early twenties, Robert went into business with his father, James (Jim) in the family business of soft furnishings and textiles. The show room was based in High Spen, where our head office still resides today. Fast forward over 30 years, and young James leaves college and Robert & James establish what is now the family business, J & R Waste Management. Mike has also recently joined the team. We aim to serve the local community, removing waste & scrap metal responsibly in a way that aims to care for our environment and our local area. We love what we do and it shows.
